Kawakawa Pesto (Vegan, GF)

On Homeland’s menu since we opened. Kawakawa leaves (a NZ native shrub) are hand harvested in Maungawhau Mt Eden, then pureed with toasted Pinoli pine nuts from Marlborough, NZ olive oil, garlic and parsley. Toss through linguine (add grated parmesan or crumbled feta), dollop on roast chicken or pork, or combine with grilled vegetables and a squirt of lemon juice for a wonderful salad.
